Our Aim, Objectives & Activities
OUR AIM AND OBJECTIVES
- The aims and objectives of the Society shall be mainly directed towards promoting research, developmental and awareness work in the field of Environment Science and Technology as follows and further as detailed in the Bye Laws.
- To provide necessary forum for Environmentalist, Environment Scientists and Environment Engineers of various specializations to come together and exchange ideas on the problems of Environment.
- To disseminate knowledge in the field of Environment Science and Technology dealing with scientific and engineering aspects.
- To Promote and honor pioneering and meritorious contributions in the field of Environment Science and Technology.
The Society will accomplish its aims and objectives
- By close interaction with International Association for Environment Science and Technology and liaison with other national and international organizations whose aims are akin to those of the Society
- Through the local chapters in different regions of India
- Through the publication of Journal, News Letter, Hand Books, and Monographs on those topics of Environment Science and Technology which are of special interest to India and are other considered relevant. Exchange of publication with international and national Societies
- Holding technical get-togethers, seminars, workshops, panel discussion, symposia, conferences etc.
- By helping the planners in the country in identifying Environment problems for research and development that deserve national priority and international programs
- By organizing technical committees and study groups on subjects of topical interest
- By projecting the image of Society by sustained efforts towards improving the quality of contributions and discussions at the Local as well Global levels.
- By involving maximum number of Environment Friends, Environment Engineers Schools, Colleges and other social organizations in its activities.
- To work for sustainable rural and urban development.
- To arrange and organize social and cultural programs, children shows and competitions for encouragement of young people towards Environment Awareness.
